I am an artist and designer based in Bali, Indonesia, and San Francisco. I draw my inspiration from the natural world: sacred geometry, science, bones, metal, leather, and the dark undercurrents of street fashion. Jan Hilmer Designs was birthed in 2005, after years of studying sculpture and working as a freelance artist and performer in the New York underground scene.

Jan hilmer makes rad gear. Inspired by beautiful creatures and wild characters, he approaches design with a mind of a musician. experiencing the soundscape called life and interpreting it into clothing and jewelry and other functional necessities.

Clothing:

• Hand wash cold
• Embellished or distressed items should be turned inside out
• Dry flat or line dry

Corsets:

• Wipe lining with a damp cloth
• Spot clean as needed
• Remove lacing for professional dry cleaning

Leather:

• Spot clean with leather cleaner
• Wipe with damp cloth
• Condition as needed

Jewelry:

• Wipe gently with soft cloth
